1. Nothing illegal or harmful

Don’t use the service to break the law, help someone else break it, or infringe anyone’s rights.
Don’t create or send content that harasses, threatens, defames or discriminates against people, or that sexualizes minors.
Don’t use agents to deceive people about who they’re dealing with, to impersonate a real person or organization, or to create fraudulent reviews, testimonials or claims.

2. Outreach has to be welcome

Only message people you have a lawful basis to contact. Honor opt-outs and unsubscribe requests immediately.
No bulk unsolicited email, texts or calls. No scraping contact details to build lists.
Make sure anything an agent sends on your behalf is truthful and identifies your business.

3. Be careful with other people’s data

Don’t upload personal data you aren’t allowed to share, including health, financial or government-ID data, unless you’ve confirmed it’s lawful and necessary.
Don’t use agents to profile people in ways that are unfair or that the law restricts (for example, decisions about credit, housing, employment or insurance without human review).

4. Don’t break the service

Don’t probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service, bypass limits or security controls, or interfere with other customers.
Don’t automate access except through features we provide for that purpose.
Don’t resell access, share one account between businesses, or use the service to build or train a competing product.
Don’t try to make agents reveal system instructions, other customers’ data, or credentials.

5. High-stakes decisions need a human

Agents are assistants. Don’t rely on them as the sole basis for decisions that could seriously affect someone’s health, safety, finances or legal rights, and don’t use them where failure could cause physical harm.

6. What happens if this is broken

We may pause agents, remove content, suspend or close accounts, and report illegal activity to authorities. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.
