How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerLinear ticket status or assignee changesLinearLinear
  • LogicConfirm ticket originated from a Discord thread
  • ActionFormat update from changed fields and comments
  • OutputPost update to original Discord threadDiscordDiscord

What it does

Reverses the usual flow: when an IT ticket that started in Discord changes state in Linear, the employee hears about it in the same thread. Status moves, assignee changes, and resolution comments are mirrored back to Discord so nobody has to chase updates or get a Linear seat.

When to use it

Use this as the companion to any flow that opens tickets from Discord. It removes the dead silence between "a ticket was created" and "your issue is resolved," cutting the follow-up pings your IT team fields about ticket status.

How it works

  1. 1A Linear webhook fires when a helpdesk ticket's status or assignee changes.
  2. 2A logic check confirms the ticket originated from Discord by reading the stored thread reference, and ignores unrelated tickets.
  3. 3The flow formats a human-readable update from the changed fields and any new resolution comment.
  4. 4It posts that update into the original Discord thread, tagging the employee who asked.
  5. 5When the ticket moves to Done, it posts a final resolution message and marks the thread as resolved.
