Escalate Recurring Customer Reports to a Linked Linear Issue

When the same Sentry-correlated error gets reported by customers more than a set number of times, this opens or updates a single Linear issue with the report count and customer…

How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerScheduled recurring-report count check
  • ActionRead correlated report counts per issuePostgreSQLPostgres
  • LogicFilter to issues over escalation threshold
  • ActionFind existing linked Linear issueLinearLinear
  • OutputCreate or update Linear issue with report countLinearLinear

What it does

It watches the running count of customer reports correlated to one Sentry issue. Once that count crosses your escalation threshold, it creates a Linear issue (or updates the existing one) carrying the Sentry link, the cumulative report count, and the affected customers, then comments back the Linear link. Recurring pain becomes a tracked, prioritized ticket instead of a forgotten thread.

When to use it

Use it when individual bug reports slip through but the pattern matters: the fifth report of the same crash should force engineering attention even if no single report did.

How it works

  1. 1A scheduled check evaluates correlated report counts per Sentry issue.
  2. 2A logic step filters to issues that crossed the escalation threshold.
  3. 3Linear is searched for an existing issue linked to that Sentry fingerprint.
  4. 4A branch decides create-new versus update-existing.
  5. 5The Linear issue is written with report count, customer list, and Sentry link as the output.

Set it up

What you configure once, before turning it on.

  1. 1
    Connect SentryErrors, performance, releases.
  2. 2
    Connect LinearIssues, projects, cycles, triage.
  3. 3
Connect PostgresAny Postgres URL — query, write, migrate.
  4. 4

  5. 5
Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
  6. 6
