How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerSlack message requests a meetingSlack
  • ActionParse attendees and windowOpenAI
  • ActionQuery Outlook free/busyOutlook
  • ActionNegotiate slot in Slack threadSlack
  • LogicVerify chosen slot and availability
  • OutputBook Outlook event and confirm in SlackOutlook

What it does

Brings the scheduling concierge into Slack. A teammate types "set up 30 min with Dana and Priya this week" in a channel or DM; the bot resolves the named people to Outlook calendars, finds workable slots, negotiates the choice in the Slack thread, and books the Outlook event, dropping the final confirmation back into Slack.

When to use it

Use it when your team lives in Slack but the company calendar is Outlook, and you want booking to happen where the conversation already is, without anyone opening Outlook.

How it works

  1. 1A Slack mention or slash-style message starts the request.
  2. 2OpenAI parses attendees, duration, and time window from the message.
  3. 3The bot queries Outlook free/busy for each resolved attendee.
  4. 4The bot replies in-thread with ranked slot options and reads reactions or replies to pick a winner.
  5. 5A logic step verifies a chosen slot and that all required attendees are free.
  6. 6The bot books the Outlook event and posts the confirmation with calendar link to the Slack thread.
