How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerHire added to Slack onboarding channelSlack
  • ActionFetch hire's incomplete tasks from AsanaAsanaAsana
  • ActionPost next task in Slack with Done buttonSlack
  • LogicMap Slack click to Asana task ID
  • ActionComplete the task in AsanaAsanaAsana
  • OutputPost completion summary to the channelSlack

What it does

Bridges your existing Asana onboarding template with Slack so new hires never have to learn Asana on day one. The bot reads the tasks assigned to the new hire in their onboarding project and surfaces them conversationally in a Slack DM. When the hire replies that a task is done, the workflow completes the matching task back in Asana, keeping the manager's project board accurate in real time.

When to use it

Use this when onboarding already lives in Asana but new hires ignore it. You get the manager-friendly Asana board and the hire-friendly Slack experience at the same time, with no double entry.

How it works

  1. 1A new hire is added to a Slack onboarding channel, firing the trigger.
  2. 2The bot queries Asana for incomplete tasks assigned to that hire in the onboarding project.
  3. 3It posts the first task in Slack with a Mark Done button.
  4. 4On click, the logic step matches the Slack action to the Asana task ID.
  5. 5The workflow completes the task in Asana and posts the next one.
  6. 6When no tasks remain, it sends a completion summary to the channel.
