How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerReceiver enters inbound PO line in TeamsMicrosoft Teams
  • ActionExtract SKU and received quantityOpenAI
  • ActionFind open bin in the SKU's zoneAirtableAirtable
  • LogicPick best bin or flag overflow
  • ActionReserve bin and increment on-handAirtableAirtable
  • OutputReply with assigned bin in TeamsMicrosoft Teams

What it does

Guides putaway at the dock. A receiver enters the SKU and quantity received; the bot consults Airtable for an available bin in that SKU's storage zone, reserves it, increments the on-hand quantity, and replies in Teams with the bin to walk the pallet to.

When to use it

Use it when receiving is a bottleneck and product piles up at the dock because nobody knows where to stage it. It removes the guesswork of putaway and keeps the location record current as stock lands.

How it works

  1. 1A receiver enters an inbound PO line (SKU and quantity) into the Teams bot.
  2. 2An OpenAI step extracts the SKU and received quantity from the message.
  3. 3The flow queries Airtable for an open bin in that SKU's designated zone.
  4. 4A logic step picks the best bin (empty before partial, nearest to staging) or flags overflow if none fit.
  5. 5The flow reserves the bin and adds the received quantity to on-hand in Airtable.
  6. 6The bot replies in Teams with the assigned bin and updated count.
