What it does

This is a gate, not a notifier. Given a signed contract, it compares the executed text against the legal-approved master version and decides whether the signature is clean. If the signed copy contains material changes the approver never saw, it raises a high-priority incident and parks the file in a quarantine folder rather than allowing it downstream.

When to use it

Use it for high-value or regulated agreements where an altered signed copy is a compliance event, not just a heads-up. The hard stop and incident page suit teams that must prove no unapproved language was executed.

How it works

  1. 1An operator or upstream step manually triggers the check with a signed PDF reference.
  2. 2The workflow reads the signed file from Dropbox and the approved master from the same store.
  3. 3An agent diffs the clauses and scores the severity of any change.
  4. 4If a material change is found, it pages legal via PagerDuty and moves the signed file to a quarantine folder.
  5. 5If clean, it records an approval verdict and lets the file proceed.
