What it does

This agent hunts for dashboards still flagged as decayed but with no valid owner — typically because the original owner offboarded. It reasons over recent Snowflake access patterns to nominate the most engaged remaining viewer, then files a Linear task to transfer ownership.

When to use it

Use this when departures leave dashboards orphaned and the decay sweep keeps surfacing assets nobody will claim. It re-homes them to a live human so retirement decisions don't stall indefinitely.

How it works

  1. 1A weekly schedule starts the agent.
  2. 2The agent queries Snowflake for decayed dashboards whose recorded owner is missing or deactivated.
  3. 3For each, it pulls recent viewer activity and reasons about who most plausibly owns the asset now, weighing view frequency and role.
  4. 4A branch skips assets with no remaining viewers, routing them straight to a retirement queue.
  5. 5For the rest, the agent opens a Linear task assigned to the nominated owner, summarizing the dashboard, its idle history, and why they were chosen.
  6. 6The Snowflake registry is updated with a pending-owner flag.
