How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerGitHub PR merged to mainGitHubGitHub
  • ActionParse merged diff for feature-flag keysGitHubGitHub
  • ActionQuery Axiom for each touched flag's rollout stateAxiom
  • LogicContinue only for flags 100% true for 21+ days
  • OutputDM the PR author on Slack with removal promptSlack

What it does

Turns the moment of merge into a cleanup checkpoint. When a PR lands on main, it cross-references any flags the PR touched against telemetry, and if one is already fully rolled out it nudges the author directly on Slack while the context is fresh.

When to use it

When flag cleanup keeps slipping because authors move on the second a feature ships. Catching it at merge time — rather than in a monthly batch — gets removal scheduled while the author still remembers the code.

How it works

  1. 1A GitHub merge-to-main webhook triggers the run.
  2. 2Parse the merged diff for feature-flag keys that were added or referenced.
  3. 3Query Axiom for each touched flag's recent evaluation distribution.
  4. 4Branch: only continue for flags now serving 100% true for 21+ days.
  5. 5Map the GitHub author to a Slack user.
  6. 6Send a Slack DM summarizing the rolled-out flag, its call sites, and a link to open a removal task.
