How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerNightly schedule
  • ActionCapture live screensBrowserbase
  • LogicDiff captures against current ReadMe images
  • LogicKeep only drifted screens
  • OutputUpload fresh images and publish ReadMe pagesReadMeReadMe

What it does

On a nightly schedule it walks a manifest of screen-to-doc-image mappings, captures each screen from the live production app, and compares the result to the image currently shown on the matching ReadMe page. When a capture has drifted past the threshold, it replaces the image in place and publishes the updated page so your hosted docs stay current without manual edits.

When to use it

Use it when your docs live in ReadMe and your UI ships continuously, so screenshots quietly go out of date between releases. This keeps published images aligned with production overnight, with no reviewer in the loop.

How it works

  1. 1A nightly schedule fires the workflow.
  2. 2Browserbase loads each mapped screen against the production app and captures a fresh screenshot.
  3. 3A compare step diffs each capture against the image currently embedded in its ReadMe page.
  4. 4A branch step keeps only the screens that drifted past the threshold.
  5. 5For each drifted screen, the new image is uploaded and the ReadMe page is updated to reference it.
  6. 6The page change is published live on ReadMe.
