SUMMARIZATION
Submit a Loom link and get a chaptered Google Doc plus a Slack ping
Accepts a pasted Loom URL via webhook, transcribes it into a formatted Google Doc with a clickable chapter outline, then posts the doc link to a Slack channel for the team.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerWebhook receives a submitted Loom URLHTTP webhook
- ActionRetrieve transcript and chapters from LoomLoom
- ActionGenerate chaptered walkthrough with timestamp indexOpenAI
- ActionCreate formatted Google Doc with linked chaptersGoogle Drive
- OutputPost doc link and summary to Slack channelSlack
What it does
Drop a Loom URL into a form or Slack shortcut and this workflow produces a polished Google Doc walkthrough — complete with a table-of-contents style chapter list where each entry jumps to its timestamp in the video — and announces it in Slack.
When to use it
You want write-ups on demand rather than for every recording. Good for ad-hoc demos, sales call recaps, or onboarding clips where someone explicitly decides "this one deserves a doc."
How it works
- 1A webhook fires when someone submits a Loom URL (from an internal form or a Slack message action).
- 2The workflow pulls the video's transcript and chapter timestamps from Loom.
- 3An AI step turns the transcript into a structured walkthrough: an overview, numbered steps per chapter, and a chapter index with timestamps.
- 4A new Google Doc is created in a shared Drive folder, with the chapter index hyperlinking to each timestamped Loom moment.
- 5The Google Doc link, title, and one-line summary are posted to a chosen Slack channel so the team knows the write-up is ready.
