Mirror Linear blocker progress onto the waiting Monday task
When an engineering issue in Linear that blocks a Monday delivery task changes state, it updates a mirrored status and progress note on the Monday task so non-engineering teams…
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerLinear issue state changedLinear
- LogicResolve mapped Monday item, else stop
- ActionWrite mirrored status to Monday taskmonday.com
- LogicBranch if blocker reached Done
- OutputSlack the Monday owner on clearSlack
What it does
It bridges two systems: engineering tracks blockers in Linear, delivery teams track work in Monday. When a Linear issue that is the blocker for a Monday task moves through its workflow, this updates the Monday task's mirrored blocker field in real time.
When to use it
Use it when the team that owns a blocker lives in Linear and the team that's waiting lives in Monday, and the waiting team keeps asking for status because they can't see the other tool.
How it works
- 1A Linear webhook trigger fires on issue state changes.
- 2A logic step checks the issue's external link or label for a mapped Monday item id; if none, it stops.
- 3The workflow translates the Linear state into a Monday status value and a human-readable progress line.
- 4It writes the status and an update note onto the linked Monday item.
- 5If the Linear issue reached Done, it posts a Slack heads-up to the Monday task owner that the blocker cleared.
