DATA OPS
CEO-driven stale-table incident triage and runbook author
When a critical table breaches freshness, an agent investigates lineage and recent pipeline activity, drafts a root-cause hypothesis, files a Linear incident.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerCritical table freshness breach event
- ActionGather load history, lineage, volume signalsSnowflake
- LogicForm ranked root-cause hypothesis + remediation
- ActionFile incident with triage briefLinear
- OutputNotify on-call owner with next stepsSlack
What it does
Turns a raw freshness breach into a triaged incident. When a critical Snowflake table goes stale, the agent gathers context (lineage, last successful load, recent schema or volume anomalies), writes a plain-language root-cause hypothesis and suggested remediation, opens a Linear issue with that brief, and pings the on-call owner.
When to use it
Use it for high-stakes tables where you want investigation and an actionable ticket within minutes, not just a ping. Best when breaches are infrequent but expensive and you want the org to act, not just observe.
How it works
- 1A freshness breach event triggers the run with the affected table.
- 2The agent queries Snowflake for the table's load history, lineage, and recent row-volume pattern.
- 3It reasons over the signals to form a ranked root-cause hypothesis and remediation steps.
- 4It files a Linear incident containing the brief and blast radius.
- 5It posts a Slack notification to the on-call owner linking the incident and summarizing what to check first.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect SnowflakeWarehouses, queries, shares.
- 2Connect LinearIssues, projects, cycles, triage.
- 3Connect SlackChannels, DMs, threads, mentions.
- 4Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 5Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 6Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
