SUMMARIZATION
Weekly Intercom Theme Brief to Coda
Pulls the past week's closed Intercom conversations, clusters them into recurring themes, and publishes a ranked roadmap brief to a Coda doc every Monday morning.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerMonday 07:00 weekly schedule
- ActionFetch conversations closed in last 7 daysIntercom
- ActionEmbed and cluster into named themesOpenAI
- ActionSummarize each theme with quote + implicationOpenAI
- LogicRank themes by volume and growth
- OutputAppend dated brief section to Coda docCoda
What it does
Every Monday it gathers the prior week's Intercom conversations, groups them into a handful of recurring themes (e.g. onboarding friction, billing confusion, missing export), and writes a roadmap brief into Coda. Each theme gets a count, a representative quote, and a one-line product implication so PMs walk into planning with the week's signal already distilled.
When to use it
Use it when support volume is too high to read every conversation but you still want product roadmap input grounded in what customers actually said. Ideal for weekly product or triage syncs where someone otherwise hand-tallies tickets.
How it works
- 1A Monday 07:00 schedule fires the run.
- 2Fetch all Intercom conversations closed in the last 7 days, with tags and first/last messages.
- 3An OpenAI step embeds and clusters them into named themes with volume counts.
- 4A summarization step writes one paragraph per theme plus a representative quote and product implication.
- 5Rank themes by volume and recent growth.
- 6Append the formatted brief as a new dated section in the target Coda doc.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect IntercomConversations, contacts, articles.
- 2Connect OpenAIModels, embeddings, files.
- 3Connect CodaDocs, packs, automations.
- 4Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 5Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 6Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
