What it does

Lets anyone capture a Slack thread into the permanent record on demand. When a designated emoji is added to a message, the flow reads the whole thread, produces a clean summary with the decision and rationale, and appends it as a dated entry to a Confluence decision log. No copy-paste, no losing context after Slack retention expires.

When to use it

Use it when teams make decisions in Slack that need to outlive the channel and be findable later. Good for engineering and ops groups that keep a running decision log or ADR-style page in Confluence.

How it works

  1. 1A Slack reaction-added event with the chosen emoji triggers the flow.
  2. 2Fetch the full thread the reacted message belongs to.
  3. 3Summarize it with OpenAI into a decision, rationale, and participants.
  4. 4Append the summary as a new dated entry on the target Confluence page.
  5. 5Reply in-thread with a link to the saved Confluence entry.
