What it does

Templates change — a new privacy clause, a revised liability cap — and that instantly makes already-signed contracts stale against the new standard. This workflow detects a template edit and re-audits the active portfolio of that agreement type against the new baseline, creating remediation tasks for contracts that fall out of line.

When to use it

Use it after legal updates a master template and needs to know which in-force agreements should be amended or renegotiated at renewal to match the new policy, rather than discovering the gap years later.

How it works

  1. 1An approved template file is modified in the Drive library, triggering the run.
  2. 2The agreement type is read from the template, and all active contracts of that type are listed from the portfolio folder.
  3. 3Each contract is re-compared against the updated template to find clauses that no longer conform.
  4. 4A logic branch keeps only contracts with material non-conformance.
  5. 5An Asana task is opened per affected contract with the gap details and a remediation owner.
