What it does
This workflow keeps your contract index honest by acting on it. Each night it queries Postgres for contracts whose renewal or expiration date falls inside a lookahead window, groups them by owning team, and posts a clean digest to Slack so nothing auto-renews or lapses unnoticed.
When to use it
Use it once you already have an indexed contract repository and want proactive renewal management. Ideal for finance and ops teams that have been burned by silent auto-renewals or missed cancellation windows.
How it works
- 1A nightly schedule triggers the run.
- 2The workflow queries the Postgres contract index for renewal or expiry dates within the configured window (e.g. next 60 days).
- 3A logic step buckets results by urgency — cancellation-deadline-soon versus renews-soon — and by owning team.
- 4If no contracts fall in the window, the run ends quietly with no noise.
