What it does

It periodically reviews contracts your team has signed, extracts the clauses you actually agreed to, and compares them to the documented playbook. When a fallback position keeps getting accepted in practice but isn't written down, it proposes adding it so the playbook stays grounded in reality instead of drifting from how deals really close.

When to use it

Use it when your written playbook has gone stale and reviewers keep approving "exceptions" that have quietly become the norm. It is a maintenance job for legal ops that owns the standard clause library.

How it works

  1. 1A weekly schedule triggers the run.
  2. 2Recently signed contracts are pulled from the executed-agreements Drive folder.
  3. 3The model extracts the final negotiated language for each tracked clause type.
  4. 4A logic step compares accepted language to the current playbook and isolates positions that are repeatedly accepted but undocumented.
  5. 5The Confluence playbook page is updated with proposed new fallback positions, citing the source contracts for legal to ratify.
