Dormant Champion Job-Change to New-Account Opportunity
Watches your CRM's closed-lost and past-power-user contacts for job changes, confirms the move with a web search.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerNightly schedule pulls champion-tagged contactsHubSpot
- ActionExa search for current title and employerExa
- LogicFlag contacts whose employer changed
- ActionUpsert new company and contact in HubSpotHubSpot
- ActionCreate net-new opportunity at new accountHubSpot
- OutputAlert assigned rep in SlackSlack
What it does
It monitors contacts you previously tagged as champions or power users and detects when one of them changes employers. When a move is confirmed, it spins up a brand-new opportunity at the champion's new company and routes it to the owning rep, turning a lost relationship into a warm net-new pipeline.
When to use it
Run this when your best users churn not because they disliked the product but because they left the company. A champion who loved you at Account A is the cheapest path into Account B. Use it to systematically harvest those second-chance deals instead of relying on reps to spot them by accident.
How it works
- 1A nightly schedule pulls champion-tagged contacts from HubSpot.
- 2An Exa web search checks each contact's current title and employer.
- 3A logic step compares the discovered employer against the stored company and flags genuine moves.
- 4For confirmed movers, it creates a new company and contact record in HubSpot if one doesn't exist.
- 5It creates a net-new opportunity tied to the new account, pre-filled with the prior relationship context.
- 6A Slack message alerts the assigned rep with the champion's name, old account, and new company.
