Front conversation tag promotes HubSpot lifecycle stage
When a teammate applies a buying-signal tag to a Front conversation, this looks up the matching HubSpot contact and advances their lifecycle stage.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerFront conversation taggedFront
- LogicMatch tag to mapped lifecycle stage
- ActionRead contact email from Front conversationFront
- ActionFind HubSpot contact by emailHubSpot
- LogicOnly advance, never downgrade stage
- ActionUpdate HubSpot lifecycle stageHubSpot
- OutputNotify owner in SlackSlack
What it does
Turns a manual Front tag into a clean HubSpot lifecycle-stage change. When someone tags a conversation (for example `demo-requested` or `pricing-discussion`), the workflow finds the contact in HubSpot by email and nudges their lifecycle stage forward, with no copy-paste between tabs.
When to use it
Use it when your support or sales inbox lives in Front but your pipeline lives in HubSpot, and reps keep forgetting to update lifecycle stage after a real buying signal. It keeps the CRM honest without asking reps to leave the inbox.
How it works
- 1A Front webhook fires when a tag is added to a conversation.
- 2A filter checks the tag against a mapped allowlist (tag to target lifecycle stage); unmapped tags are dropped.
- 3The flow reads the conversation's primary contact email from Front.
- 4HubSpot is searched for a contact with that email.
- 5If the contact's current stage is earlier than the target, HubSpot updates the lifecycle stage (never downgrades).
- 6A Slack message to the contact owner confirms the stage change and links back to the Front thread.
