How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerScheduled run starts the reassignment job
  • ActionQuery open opportunities and owner status from SalesforceSalesforce
  • LogicSelect stale deals owned by inactive reps
  • LogicResolve backup owner per territory or round-robin
  • ActionReassign opportunity owner and log audit note in SalesforceSalesforce
  • OutputNotify manager of reassignments in SlackSlack

What it does

Finds rotting open opportunities whose owner is effectively absent — deactivated user, on a leave list, or with zero logged activity for N days — and reassigns those deals to a designated backup owner or round-robin queue directly in Salesforce. It logs every reassignment and pings the sales manager with the before/after owner so nothing moves silently.

When to use it

Use this after a rep leaves, during PTO coverage, or when a territory is being rebalanced and you don't want valuable pipeline stranded on an inactive owner.

How it works

  1. 1A schedule (or manual run before a coverage gap) starts the job.
  2. 2Query Salesforce for open opportunities and their owners' status and recent activity.
  3. 3A logic step selects deals whose owner is inactive AND the deal is stale.
  4. 4Resolve the correct backup owner per territory or round-robin.
  5. 5Update the opportunity OwnerId in Salesforce and add an audit note.
  6. 6Post a Slack summary to the manager of every reassignment made.
