Trending Vertical Momentum Tracker
Tracks week-over-week download and like momentum for datasets in your vertical using Brave web signals plus Hugging Face stats.

What it does
Measures which datasets in your vertical are actually gaining traction, not just which are new. It snapshots Hugging Face download and like counts, compares them to last week's stored snapshot, enriches the top movers with recent web mentions found via Brave Search, and posts a momentum report calling out the steepest risers.
When to use it
When you want a signal on where a research community's attention is moving — useful for spotting an emerging benchmark before it becomes the default, or noticing a dataset suddenly getting cited everywhere.
How it works
- 1A weekly cron triggers the run.
- 2Hugging Face stats are pulled for the vertical's tracked datasets.
- 3Current counts are diffed against the prior snapshot stored in Postgres.
- 4A logic step ranks datasets by week-over-week growth and keeps the top movers.
- 5Brave Search enriches each top mover with recent web mentions and context.
- 6The momentum report is posted to Discord; the new snapshot is saved for next week.
