PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Daily exec digest of monday.com items blocked by a slipped dependency
Runs each morning, scans monday.com boards for items still blocked past their dependency's due date, summarizes the cascade impact with OpenAI.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerWeekday 8am schedule
- ActionQuery monday.com boards for blocked itemsmonday.com
- LogicKeep items whose dependency due date has passed
- ActionSummarize cascade impact with OpenAIOpenAI
- OutputEmail ranked risk digest to leadsOutlook
What it does
Each morning this workflow finds every monday.com item that is blocked by another item whose deadline has already passed, then sends leadership a plain-English digest of which deliverables are now at risk and why.
When to use it
Use it when execs want a single daily read on dependency risk across many monday.com boards rather than clicking into each board. It surfaces the slips that have already happened and are about to ripple outward.
How it works
- 1A scheduled trigger runs every weekday at 8am.
- 2The workflow queries the relevant monday.com boards for items in a blocked state.
- 3A filter keeps only items whose linked dependency has a due date in the past.
- 4OpenAI summarizes each cluster into one line: what is blocked, by what, how late, and the downstream owner.
- 5It ranks the clusters by how many downstream items each slip threatens.
- 6It emails the ranked digest to the project leads via Outlook.
