Dropbox Access Events to Axiom Audit Stream
Captures every Dropbox sharing change as it happens, normalizes it into a structured audit event.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerDropbox sharing event webhook firesDropbox
- ActionFetch full sharing event detailDropbox
- LogicNormalize into structured audit record
- OutputStream audit event into Axiom datasetAxiom
What it does
Turns Dropbox's transient sharing activity into a durable, structured audit log. On each sharing event it builds a normalized record (folder, actor, target, old role, new role, action, timestamp) and streams it into an Axiom dataset, giving you a searchable, long-retention history of every access change for compliance and forensics.
When to use it
Use this when you need access history that outlives Dropbox's built-in event retention, or when auditors and incident responders need to run ad-hoc queries like "every folder a given user was added to last quarter." It is the system-of-record companion to alerting workflows.
How it works
- 1A Dropbox sharing webhook fires on any membership or role change.
- 2The flow fetches the full event detail from Dropbox.
- 3A logic step normalizes it into a flat, consistently keyed audit record.
- 4The record is ingested into the Axiom audit dataset.
- 5Axiom retains and indexes the event for later querying and dashboards.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect DropboxFiles and folders.
- 2Connect AxiomLog streams, queries, dashboards.
- 3Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 4Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 5Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
