MARKET RESEARCH
Roll up quarterly earnings themes across competitors into a Google Drive trend report
After each earnings round, aggregates the extracted themes from every tracked competitor and generates a cross-company trend report saved as a doc in Google Drive.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerMonthly post-reporting schedule fires
- ActionRead quarter's theme rows from CodaCoda
- LogicDefer if too few companies reported
- ActionSynthesize cross-competitor trends with OpenAIOpenAI
- OutputSave trend report to Google DriveGoogle Drive
What it does
Zooms out from single calls to the whole field. Once all tracked competitors have reported, it gathers the quarter's extracted themes from your watch-list store and has an LLM identify patterns across them: shared narratives the whole sector is adopting, contrarian bets, and where rivals are diverging. It writes the synthesis as a formatted trend report into a dated Google Drive folder.
When to use it
Use it at the end of an earnings round when you need a single sector-level read for leadership, rather than per-company rows.
How it works
- 1A monthly schedule fires after the reporting window closes.
- 2The workflow reads the quarter's stored theme rows for all competitors from the Coda watch-list.
- 3A logic step confirms enough companies have reported to make a roll-up meaningful, else it defers.
- 4OpenAI synthesizes cross-competitor patterns, convergence, and outliers into a narrative report.
- 5The report is saved as a formatted document in the quarter's Google Drive folder for distribution.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect CodaDocs, packs, automations.
- 2Connect OpenAIModels, embeddings, files.
- 3Connect Google DriveDocs, sheets, slides, files.
- 4Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 5Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 6Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
