INVOICE PROCESSING
Mismatch-to-Monday Exception Board Builder
Webhook-triggered on each invoice submission, this validates the three-way match and creates a Monday.com item on the AP exceptions board for every mismatch.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerInvoice submitted via inbound webhookHTTP webhook
- ActionFetch matching PO and goods receipt from PostgresPostgres
- LogicDetect price, quantity, or receipt mismatch
- OutputCreate assigned exception item on Monday boardmonday.com
What it does
Turns invoice mismatches into trackable work. When an invoice is submitted, it pulls the matching PO and receipt, checks them against the invoice, and for any discrepancy it creates a card on a Monday.com board with the exception type, dollar variance, owner, and an SLA due date so nothing slips.
When to use it
Use it when AP exceptions get lost in email threads and you want a single board showing every open mismatch, who owns it, and how long it has been waiting. Ideal for teams that already run their AP workflow visually in Monday.
How it works
- 1An invoice submission hits the inbound webhook with the invoice and PO reference.
- 2The flow fetches the PO and goods-receipt records from Postgres.
- 3A decision step evaluates price, quantity, and receipt presence; clean matches end the run quietly.
- 4For each exception it builds a typed payload (variance amount, expected vs actual, vendor).
- 5A Monday.com item is created on the AP Exceptions board with status, owner, and due date set from the exception type.

When a new invoice can't be cleared by exact-match rules, an AI agent reviews paid history for near-duplicates (split bills, renamed vendors, rounding) and recommends pay, hold…
