INVOICE PROCESSING
Agent Investigates and Resolves Invoice Cadence Gaps
An autonomous AP agent reviews flagged invoice cadence anomalies, gathers vendor and prior-invoice context, drafts a chase email to the vendor.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerCadence anomaly flag arrives via webhookHTTP webhook
- ActionAgent pulls vendor history and terms from PostgresPostgres
- LogicAgent diagnoses the gap and chooses an outreach approach
- ActionPrepare a draft chase email in OutlookOutlook
- OutputPost case summary and draft to Slack for approvalSlack
What it does
Takes the raw flags from cadence monitoring and does the legwork. For each missing or early invoice, the agent pulls the vendor's history and contract terms, reasons about the likely cause (lost email, cycle change, genuine error), drafts an appropriately worded chase or query email to the vendor, and presents the whole package — context, diagnosis, and proposed email — to AP in Slack for one-click approval.
When to use it
Use it when cadence alerts pile up and you want an assistant to triage and prepare vendor outreach instead of an analyst opening each case by hand. The human stays in the loop on send.
How it works
- 1A cadence anomaly flag arrives via webhook and triggers the agent.
- 2The agent queries Postgres for the vendor's invoice history and terms.
- 3It reasons about the gap and drafts a tailored vendor chase email.
- 4It prepares the draft in the shared Outlook mailbox without sending.
- 5It posts the case summary and proposed email to Slack for approval to send.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect HTTP webhookTrigger any URL on agent actions.
- 2Connect PostgresAny Postgres URL — query, write, migrate.
- 3Connect OutlookMail, calendar, contacts.
- 4Connect SlackChannels, DMs, threads, mentions.
- 5Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 6Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 7Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
