What it does

Stops invoices from going late while they wait in an approval queue. On a schedule it scans the ClickUp Approval lane for tasks that have sat longer than their SLA, looks up each invoice's payment due date in Postgres, and posts a ranked escalation to Microsoft Teams so approvers act on the ones closest to the deadline first.

When to use it

Use it when approved-but-forgotten invoices cause missed early-payment discounts or late fees. It gives approvers a daily nudge ordered by financial urgency instead of letting tasks rot silently.

How it works

  1. 1A daily schedule starts the run.
  2. 2ClickUp is queried for Approval-lane tasks older than the SLA threshold.
  3. 3Each task's PO is matched to its payment due date in Postgres.
  4. 4A branch keeps only invoices due within the risk window and sorts by urgency.
  5. 5A Microsoft Teams message is posted to the approver's channel listing each invoice, amount, days waiting, and due date.
