Monthly License Reclamation Savings Report to Teams
Each month, aggregates reclaimed-seat events from Snowflake into a savings rollup by app and team, then posts a Microsoft Teams report showing realized and pending license savings.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerMonthly schedule fires
- ActionAggregate reclamation events in SnowflakeSnowflake
- LogicCompute realized vs pending savings
- ActionBuild savings scorecard
- OutputPost report to Microsoft TeamsMicrosoft Teams
What it does
Rolls up every seat reclaimed or pending-reclaim over the month from your Snowflake reclamation table, groups the savings by application and owning team, and posts a Microsoft Teams report. The report shows realized monthly savings, in-flight approvals, and the apps with the most idle spend remaining.
When to use it
Use it to prove the program is working and keep reclamation visible to leadership. Best for IT operations teams that log reclamation actions to a warehouse and need a recurring, shareable scorecard of license savings.
How it works
- 1A monthly schedule triggers the workflow.
- 2Snowflake aggregates reclaimed and pending seat events into per-app and per-team totals.
- 3A logic step computes realized vs pending savings and ranks top remaining waste.
- 4A formatting action builds the scorecard with month-over-month deltas.
- 5Microsoft Teams posts the savings report to the leadership channel.
Set it up
