MARKET RESEARCH
Emergent-Term Deep-Dive Research Agent
When a rising term crosses a threshold, an agent investigates it across Brave Search and Perplexity, decides whether it is a durable trend or noise.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerEmergence-threshold event fires
- ActionGather usage context from Brave SearchBrave Search
- ActionCross-check definition and origin via PerplexityPerplexity
- LogicDecide durable trend vs noise
- OutputWrite positioning brief to Google DriveGoogle Drive
What it does
When an upstream event signals that a term has crossed the emergence threshold, an agent takes over: it gathers context from Brave Search, cross-checks with Perplexity for authoritative explanations and origin, and reasons about whether the term is a durable shift or short-lived noise. If durable, it writes a full positioning brief — definition, drivers, audience, recommended messaging, and risks — into a Google Drive doc.
When to use it
Use it when a flagged term deserves real investigation rather than a one-line alert. The agent does the judgment work a researcher would: triangulating sources and deciding if it is worth a positioning play.
How it works
- 1An emergence event triggers the agent.
- 2The agent searches Brave for current usage and result breadth.
- 3It queries Perplexity for definition, origin, and credible sources.
- 4A reasoning step decides durable trend versus noise; noise ends the run.
- 5For durable terms, it composes the positioning brief.
- 6The brief is saved as a Google Drive document for the team.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect Brave SearchWeb, news, image, video search.
- 2Connect PerplexitySearch-grounded answers with citations.
- 3Connect Google DriveDocs, sheets, slides, files.
- 4Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 5Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 6Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
