Competitor Intrusion Detector on Branded Terms
Scans the Brave results for your branded terms and flags any competitor domain that newly appears in your top results.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerDaily schedule starts the competitor scan
- ActionQuery Brave Search for branded termsBrave Search
- LogicMatch domains to competitor list, isolate new intruders
- ActionLog new intrusion to Coda tableCoda
- OutputPost intrusion summary to SlackSlack
What it does
For each owned brand term, it pulls the Brave SERP and checks the result domains against a maintained list of known competitors. When a competitor domain shows up on a query that should be yours, it records the intrusion in a Coda table and pings the team. Competitors that were already present are not re-flagged.
When to use it
Use it when rivals run comparison pages, conquest ads, or affiliate content targeting your brand name and you want to catch new encroachment early. The Coda record gives you evidence and a timeline for takedown requests or counter-content decisions.
How it works
- 1A daily schedule starts the scan.
- 2The flow queries Brave Search for every branded term.
- 3A logic step matches result domains against your competitor list and against the previously logged set, isolating newly appearing competitors.
- 4If a new intrusion is found, an action step appends it to the Coda intrusion log.
- 5An output step posts a Slack summary of which competitor appeared on which term and at what rank.
