What it does

Not every new word matters; the ones gaining momentum do. This workflow takes a watchlist of emerging terms and measures how fast each is spreading by counting Brave Search results week over week. When a term's growth crosses your breakout threshold, it fires a targeted alert so you can act while the trend is still early.

When to use it

Use this when you've already spotted a handful of candidate buzzwords and want to know which are actually accelerating versus fizzling, so you can time content, campaigns, or product naming around real momentum.

How it works

  1. 1A weekly schedule triggers the run.
  2. 2The workflow reads the term watchlist and last week's counts from a Coda table.
  3. 3For each term, Brave Search returns the current result volume with a recent-time filter.
  4. 4A logic step computes week-over-week velocity and flags terms above the breakout threshold.
  5. 5Updated counts are written back to Coda for the next comparison.
  6. 6Breakout terms trigger a Slack alert; if none break out, the run ends quietly.
