PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Monday dependency conflict escalation with auto-scheduled Zoom
When shifting a slipped dependency chain would push a downstream milestone past a hard deadline, this escalates by drafting the conflict.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerMonday upstream item Due Date changedmonday.com
- ActionRecompute chain and read locked milestone datesmonday.com
- LogicEscalate only if recompute breaches a hard deadline
- ActionDraft conflict brief with optionsOpenAI
- ActionSchedule Zoom resolution call with ownersZoom
- OutputPost brief and Zoom link to SlackSlack
What it does
Some slips can't just be absorbed by moving dates because a downstream item has a fixed deadline (a launch, a contract date). This detects when a recomputed chain would breach such a hard date, then escalates instead of silently overwriting: it drafts the conflict, schedules a Zoom call with the affected owners, and shares the agenda.
When to use it
Use it when some milestones are immovable and a date conflict needs a human decision (re-scope, add resources, or move the fixed date) rather than an automatic shift.
How it works
- 1A Monday Due Date column change triggers the flow on an upstream item.
- 2The flow recomputes the downstream chain and checks each item's deadline against any locked milestone date.
- 3A branch fires only when the recomputed schedule breaches a hard deadline; absorbable slips are ignored.
- 4OpenAI drafts a conflict brief naming the bottleneck, the breached milestone, and options.
- 5It schedules a Zoom call with the impacted owners and posts the brief plus join link to Slack.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect monday.comVisual work management for teams.
- 2Connect OpenAIModels, embeddings, files.
- 3Connect ZoomMeetings, recordings, transcripts.
- 4Connect SlackChannels, DMs, threads, mentions.
- 5Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 6Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 7Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
