How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • ActionRead competitor watch listAirtableAirtable
  • ActionSearch patent databases per competitorBraveBrave Search
  • LogicDedupe by publication number, filter to 24h window
  • OutputPost grouped digest to SlackSlack

What it does

Runs a scheduled sweep of public patent sources for every competitor on your watch list and delivers a single, deduplicated morning digest to Slack. No more manually checking USPTO or Google Patents one company at a time.

When to use it

Use it when competitive intelligence is part of your role and you need a reliable, low-effort signal that a rival has filed or been granted something new. Good for product strategy, IP counsel, and founders tracking 5-30 named competitors.

How it works

  1. 1A scheduled trigger fires every weekday at 7am.
  2. 2The flow reads your competitor watch list from an Airtable table (company name plus known assignee aliases).
  3. 3For each competitor it runs a Brave web search scoped to patent databases, pulling results published in the last 24 hours.
  4. 4A logic step deduplicates against patents already seen (matching on publication number) and drops anything older than the window.
  5. 5New filings are formatted into a compact digest grouped by competitor.
  6. 6The digest posts to a Slack channel; if zero new filings, it posts a short "all quiet" line so the team knows the watch ran.
