PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Flag tasks blocked by deleted or untracked cross-board items
Periodically inspects Monday dependency links and surfaces tasks whose declared blocker no longer exists or points to an archived board.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerScheduled audit run
- ActionRead items with cross-board blocker linksmonday.com
- ActionResolve each blocker on its home boardmonday.com
- LogicKeep links whose target is gone or invalid
- OutputOpen triage thread and comment on taskSlack
What it does
It audits cross-board dependency links on Monday and finds the broken ones — blockers that were deleted, archived, or moved off-board — so blocked tasks aren't waiting on something that will never resolve.
When to use it
Use it when teams reorganize boards often and stale "Blocked by" links leave tasks permanently stuck pointing at a ghost. This catches the orphans before a standup does.
How it works
- 1A schedule trigger runs the audit on a chosen cadence.
- 2The workflow reads every item carrying a populated cross-board blocker link.
- 3For each link it resolves the target item on its home board.
- 4A logic step keeps only links whose target is missing, archived, or no longer marked as a blocker — the orphans.
- 5It posts each orphaned dependency to a Slack triage channel and adds a comment on the blocked Monday item asking the owner to re-link or unblock.
