VIP escalation router: instant draft for routine mail, real-time ping for key people
Splits new email by sender importance — auto-drafts replies to routine senders and immediately escalates anything from VIPs or flagged accounts to Slack so the important few…
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerNew Gmail message receivedGmail
- LogicMatch sender against VIP list
- ActionDraft reply in Gmail for routine sendersGmail
- ActionSummarize VIP mail and suggest next actionOpenAI
- OutputPost priority VIP alert to SlackSlack
What it does
Not all deferral is equal. This flow protects deep work from routine mail while guaranteeing the people who matter break through. Routine senders get a drafted reply and nothing else interrupts you. Mail from a maintained VIP list (key clients, your manager, your team leads) is summarized and pushed to Slack as a priority alert, so you decide in the moment whether it's worth leaving your focus block.
When to use it
Use it when a blanket "defer everything" rule is too blunt because some senders genuinely warrant interruption. Ideal for account managers, founders, and execs who need a hard guarantee that specific people are surfaced instantly while everyone else is batched.
How it works
- 1A new Gmail message triggers the flow.
- 2A logic step checks the sender against a VIP list.
- 3Non-VIP routine mail: the agent drafts a reply in Gmail and stops there.
- 4VIP mail: the agent writes a one-paragraph summary plus suggested next action.
- 5A priority Slack alert posts the VIP summary with the original subject and link.
