Daily Newsletter Roll-Up: Batch and Summarize to Notion
Every morning, gathers the past day's newsletters from Gmail, summarizes each into a few bullet points.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerMorning schedule fires
- ActionSearch Gmail for last 24h of newslettersGmail
- ActionSummarize each newsletter with OpenAIOpenAI
- ActionCreate dated digest page in NotionNotion
- OutputArchive processed newsletters in GmailGmail
What it does
This workflow sweeps the last 24 hours of newsletter mail, generates a tight bullet summary of each one, and writes a single dated digest page in Notion. The source emails are archived, keeping the inbox empty without losing the content.
When to use it
Use it when newsletters and digests bury the mail that matters. Instead of skimming ten emails, you read one Notion page each morning and open only the issues worth your time.
How it works
- 1A scheduled trigger fires each morning at your chosen hour.
- 2Gmail is searched for messages from the past day matching newsletter patterns and list-unsubscribe headers.
- 3OpenAI summarizes each newsletter into a title, three bullets, and a read-more link.
- 4The summaries are assembled into one dated digest entry.
- 5A new page is created in your Notion reading-list database with all summaries.
- 6The processed newsletters are archived in Gmail so the inbox returns to zero.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect GmailRead, draft, send, label.
- 2Connect OpenAIModels, embeddings, files.
- 3Connect NotionPages, databases, comments.
- 4Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 5Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 6Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
