Escalate locked-board scope breaches to the PM in Microsoft Teams
Watches a Monday.com sprint board for items created or moved into a locked group after the cutoff, checks if cumulative added effort crosses a threshold.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerMonday item created in or moved into sprint boardmonday.com
- LogicConfirm locked group and post-cutoff change
- ActionAdd item effort to running creep totalmonday.com
- LogicCheck if cumulative total crosses breach threshold
- OutputEscalate scope breach to PM in TeamsMicrosoft Teams
What it does
Monitors a Monday.com sprint board for additions to a group flagged as locked. It accumulates the estimated effort of every post-cutoff item and, once the running total crosses a configured threshold, escalates a formal scope-breach alert to the PM in Microsoft Teams so a decision happens before the overage compounds.
When to use it
Use this if your team runs sprints on Monday.com boards and wants tolerance-based escalation — small additions pass quietly, but once cumulative creep crosses your limit the PM is pulled in for a go/no-go.
How it works
- 1A Monday webhook fires when an item is created in or moved into the sprint board.
- 2A logic step confirms the target group is locked and the change came after the cutoff timestamp.
- 3An action reads the item's effort column and adds it to the cycle's running creep total.
- 4A logic step checks whether the total has crossed the breach threshold.
- 5On breach, a Microsoft Teams message escalates to the PM channel with the offending items and the overage amount.
