Front Macro-Gap Detector: Auto-Publish Macros on Approval
Watches a Coda approval table for proposed macros marked Approved, then creates the corresponding saved reply directly in Front and notifies the team in Slack that it is live.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerCoda row status changes to ApprovedCoda
- LogicValidate title/body present and not yet published
- ActionFinal tone and formatting polish passOpenAI
- ActionCreate the macro in Front and write back its IDFront
- OutputAnnounce the live macro in SlackSlack
What it does
Closes the loop on macro proposals. Once a teammate marks a drafted macro as Approved in Coda, this workflow creates that macro in Front automatically, so an approval turns into a usable saved reply without anyone copy-pasting between tools.
When to use it
Pair it with a detector that files macro drafts into Coda. Use it when you want approvals to publish themselves and keep a clean audit trail of who approved what and when.
How it works
- 1The workflow triggers when a Coda row's status changes to Approved.
- 2A logic step validates the row has a title and body and has not already been published.
- 3An OpenAI step does a final polish pass for tone and formatting consistency with your other macros.
- 4The macro is created in Front via the API and the new macro ID is written back to the Coda row.
- 5A Slack message announces the live macro and links to it so agents can start using it immediately.
Set it up
