Narrate Trello cards with their PDF attachments included

When a card is moved to 'Audio Queue', it reads both the card body and any attached PDFs from Dropbox, merges them into one OpenAI-written script, voices it with ElevenLabs.

What it does

Creates a complete audio brief that includes a card's attachments, not just its description. It pulls any PDFs linked or attached to the card from Dropbox, extracts their text, and folds it together with the card body into a single coherent OpenAI script. ElevenLabs narrates the result, and both the MP3 and a text transcript are saved to Dropbox.

When to use it

Use it when research cards point to source documents — papers, reports, briefs — and a body-only reading would miss the substance. Good for due-diligence, literature review, and policy tracking workflows.

How it works

  1. 1A card is moved into the 'Audio Queue' list (trigger).
  2. 2Dropbox returns the text of each PDF attached to or linked from the card.
  3. 3A logic step skips files over a page limit or flagged confidential.
  4. 4OpenAI merges the card body and extracted document text into one narration script with section breaks.
  5. 5ElevenLabs synthesizes the script into an MP3.
  6. 6The MP3 and the script transcript are written to a Dropbox folder named for the card.
