INVOICE PROCESSING
Pay-On-Approval Discount Capture via Stripe
Triggered when Finance approves an early-pay invoice in Slack, it pays the discounted amount through Stripe, records the transaction back in Airtable.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerFinance approves pay-now card in Slack (webhook)Slack
- LogicValidate approver and confirm discount window still open
- ActionCreate discounted vendor payment in StripeStripe
- ActionRecord transaction and realized savings in Airtable, mark paidAirtable
- OutputConfirm settled amount and savings to approver in SlackSlack
What it does
This is the execution arm that closes the loop after a discount is approved. When someone clicks approve on a pay-now card, this workflow issues the actual payment for the discounted total, reconciles it against the ledger, and reports back the dollars saved — turning an approval into a settled, recorded payment.
When to use it
Pair it with the early-pay scanner: the scanner surfaces and gets sign-off, this one moves the money the moment approval lands.
How it works
- 1A Slack approval interaction on a pay-now card fires the webhook trigger.
- 2A logic step validates the approver and re-checks that the discount window is still open before any money moves.
- 3The flow creates a Stripe payment for the discounted amount to the vendor's payout destination.
- 4It writes the Stripe transaction id, paid amount, and realized savings back to the Airtable invoice record and marks it paid.
- 5It posts a confirmation to the approver in Slack with the settled total and the savings captured.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.

- 2Connect StripeCustomers, subscriptions, payments.
- 3Connect AirtableBases, tables, views, automations.
- 4Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 5Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 6Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
