SUMMARIZATION
Discord sentiment spike alert to Slack
Checks Discord feedback channels every few hours, summarizes the emerging mood, and pings Slack only when negative sentiment about a single topic spikes past a threshold.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerEvery 3 hours schedule
- ActionFetch new Discord messages since last runDiscord
- ActionScore sentiment and cluster negatives with OpenAIOpenAI
- LogicGate on negative-topic threshold
- OutputSend focused Slack alertSlack
What it does
It keeps a finger on the community's pulse without flooding you. On a regular interval it samples recent Discord feedback messages, has an LLM gauge sentiment and cluster the complaints, and stays silent unless one topic crosses a negative-volume threshold. When it does, it sends a focused Slack alert naming the topic, the affected members, and representative quotes.
When to use it
Use this to catch a brewing outage backlash, a confusing release, or a pricing complaint before it snowballs — without a human babysitting Discord all day.
How it works
- 1A schedule fires every three hours.
- 2The workflow fetches messages posted since the last run from the feedback channels.
- 3An OpenAI call scores sentiment per message and groups negatives into topics with counts.
- 4A logic gate checks whether any single topic exceeds the configured negative-message threshold within the window.
- 5If the threshold is crossed, it posts a concise Slack alert with the topic, volume, and three representative quotes; otherwise the run ends quietly.
Set it up
What you configure once, before turning it on.
- 1Connect DiscordCommunity channels + voice + bots.
- 2Connect OpenAIModels, embeddings, files.
- 3Connect SlackChannels, DMs, threads, mentions.
- 4Set each agent's modelWe leave models unset so you pick the tier — fast + cheap, or top-quality.
- 5Tune it to your dataEdit the prompts, filters, and field mappings so it matches how your team works.
- 6Test, then turn it onRun once against a sample, confirm the output, then enable the trigger.
