How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerStripe Issuing transaction settlesStripeStripe
  • LogicMap MCC + merchant to GL category with confidence
  • LogicFlag low-confidence charges as Needs review
  • ActionCreate coded item on Monday GL boardmonday.com
  • OutputCategorized ledger row ready for reconciliationmonday.com

What it does

Listens for settled corporate-card charges on Stripe Issuing and assigns each one a general-ledger category (Travel, Meals, Software, Office, etc.) using the merchant name and MCC code. It then creates a fully coded row on a Monday accounting board so bookkeepers start from a draft instead of a blank ledger.

When to use it

Use it when your team spends on Stripe Issuing cards and you are tired of hand-coding every line at month-end. It front-loads categorization the moment a charge clears, leaving humans to confirm rather than classify.

How it works

  1. 1A Stripe webhook fires when an Issuing authorization settles into a transaction.
  2. 2A logic step maps the merchant category code and merchant name to a GL category and confidence score.
  3. 3If confidence is low, the row is tagged "Needs review" instead of an auto-category.
  4. 4An action writes a Monday item with amount, cardholder, merchant, category, and status columns.
  5. 5The Monday board is the output ledger finance reconciles against.
