How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerWeekly schedule
  • ActionQuery 7-day merge audit log from PostgresPostgreSQLPostgres
  • LogicAggregate metrics and compute deltas
  • ActionFormat survivorship digest
  • OutputPost digest to SlackSlack

What it does

Turns the raw survivorship audit log into a readable weekly digest so data-ops leaders can see how the merge-reconciliation system is behaving — volume, which rules fire most, how often humans had to intervene, and any rollbacks.

When to use it

Use it to keep stakeholders informed and to catch rule drift — for example a sudden spike in escalations or rollbacks that signals a survivorship rule needs tuning.

How it works

  1. 1A weekly schedule trigger starts the report.
  2. 2An action queries the Postgres audit log for the last seven days of merge decisions, escalations, and rollbacks.
  3. 3A logic step aggregates the rows into metrics: total merges, fields decided per rule, percent escalated to humans, and rollback count, plus week-over-week deltas.
  4. 4An action formats the digest with headline numbers and the top rules by usage.
  5. 5The digest is posted to a Slack channel for the data-ops team.
