Champion Departure Relationship Handoff in Attio
Detects when a key champion leaves an active customer account, logs the risk on the existing Attio deal.

What it does
When a champion attached to a live Attio deal changes jobs, this workflow does two things at once: it flags the original account as at-risk because the internal sponsor is gone, and it opens a fresh prospecting record at the champion's new company. One departure becomes a defensive play and an offensive play.
When to use it
Use it on accounts where renewal depends heavily on a single internal advocate. The day that person updates their title is the day your renewal risk spikes and your expansion opportunity appears. This keeps both signals from slipping past your team.
How it works
- 1A nightly schedule reads champion people records linked to open Attio deals.
- 2An Exa search verifies each champion's current employer and role.
- 3A logic step splits results into stayers and movers.
- 4For movers, it adds an at-risk note and task to the original Attio deal.
- 5It creates a new company and prospecting record in Attio for the new employer, linked back to the prior relationship.
- 6It posts a Slack summary listing each departure, the at-risk account, and the new target.
