  • OutputOpen finance Zendesk ticket per divergenceZendeskZendesk

What it does

It scans for one high-impact field that quietly breaks dunning: the billing email. For each customer it compares the contact email on the HubSpot record with the email Stripe actually invoices, normalizing case and aliases. Where they disagree it opens a Zendesk ticket with both addresses and the most recent invoice status so finance can confirm which one is live.

When to use it

Use it when failed invoices and missed receipts trace back to outdated billing emails that were updated in one system but not the other. Good for finance teams who want each divergence to become an actionable, owned ticket rather than a spreadsheet line.

How it works

A schedule starts the sweep. It pulls HubSpot contacts mapped to Stripe customers and reads the billing email from each side. A normalization and comparison step filters to genuine mismatches, ignoring formatting-only differences. For each remaining divergence it creates a Zendesk ticket tagged for finance, embedding both emails and Stripe's last invoice delivery state. A run summary is logged for audit.
