How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerScheduled daily sweep
  • ActionRead pending-approval Monday cardsmonday.com
  • LogicFilter cards past their SLA in stage
  • ActionMove to Escalated stage and reassign approvermonday.com
  • OutputAlert approver and manager in SlackSlack

What it does

This is the SLA enforcer for your deal desk. On a recurring schedule it scans the Monday board for cards that have sat in a pending-review stage past their allowed time, then escalates each one and nudges the people who can unblock it.

When to use it

Use it when approvals quietly stall and reps only find out at quarter-end. It guarantees every aging discount request gets surfaced and pushed up the chain without anyone manually auditing the board.

How it works

  1. 1A scheduled trigger fires (e.g. every weekday morning).
  2. 2The workflow reads all Monday deal-desk cards still in a pending-approval stage.
  3. 3A logic step filters to cards whose time-in-stage exceeds the SLA for their approval tier.
  4. 4For each stalled card it moves the item to an Escalated stage and bumps the approver to the next level up.
  5. 5The output sends a Slack message tagging the original approver and their manager with the deal and how long it has waited.
