Batch-generate directional room signage from a session schedule
On a schedule before doors open, reads the session-and-room schedule from Airtable, generates a wayfinding sign image for each room with its current session list.
How it runs
The automated pipeline, trigger to output.
- TriggerScheduled pre-event run
- ActionPull session schedule from AirtableAirtable
- LogicGroup sessions by room
- ActionGenerate a wayfinding sign per roomImage generation
- OutputUpload full sign set to Dropbox print folderDropbox
What it does
Produces the stack of directional and room signs an event needs all at once. It groups the schedule by room, builds a sign for each room showing its sessions, times, and a directional arrow, and writes every sign as a high-resolution image to a Dropbox print folder so a single batch goes to the large-format printer.
When to use it
Use it the day before load-in, or any time the agenda changes and signage must be reprinted. It removes the manual InDesign pass that usually blocks reprinting when a session moves rooms at the last minute.
How it works
- 1A scheduled run fires at a set pre-event time.
- 2The full session schedule is pulled from Airtable.
- 3Sessions are grouped by room so each sign carries only that room's agenda.
- 4For each room group, a sign image is generated with room name, session list with times, and a directional arrow.
- 5All generated signs are uploaded to a single dated Dropbox folder ready for the print run.
