What it does

Closes the loop on visitor accountability. It finds anyone still marked on-site at end of day, nudges their host to confirm the guest has left, and gives facilities a single roll-up of unresolved visits so the building isn't logged as occupied by ghosts.

When to use it

When check-out is inconsistent and your compliance or fire-safety records need accurate "who is in the building" data. Run it nightly to keep the visitor log honest.

How it works

  1. 1An evening schedule queries the Airtable visitor log for rows with a check-in but no check-out timestamp.
  2. 2A branch separates genuine overstays from records that can be auto-closed past a cutoff hour.
  3. 3For each open visit, the host is emailed via Outlook to confirm whether the guest departed.
  4. 4A summary of all unresolved visits is posted to the facilities Teams channel.
  5. 5Auto-closeable records are stamped with an inferred check-out time back in Airtable.
