How it runs

The automated pipeline, trigger to output.

  • TriggerExpense report submitted (webhook)HTTP webhook
  • LogicFlag over-threshold lines with no receipt
  • ActionEmail submitter to request receiptsOutlook
  • ActionRecord due date and chase status in SnowflakeSnowflakeSnowflake
  • LogicRe-check after deadline: resolved vs. overdue
  • OutputEscalate to manager and post to MS TeamsMicrosoft Teams

What it does

Stops reports from stalling in limbo over a missing receipt. It detects line items that legally require documentation but have none attached, opens a tracked chase with the submitter, and escalates on a timer so finance never has to manually remember who still owes what.

When to use it

Use this when month-end close drags because reimbursements are held up waiting on receipts, and chasing them is a manual chore. Best for teams with a firm receipt-or-it-doesn't-pay policy and a documentation threshold.

How it works

  1. 1An expense-report-submitted webhook delivers line items and attachment metadata.
  2. 2A logic step flags any line over the receipt threshold that has no attached document.
  3. 3If everything is documented, the report is marked ready and the flow exits.
  4. 4If receipts are missing, an Outlook email requests them from the submitter and a due date is recorded in Snowflake.
  5. 5A scheduled re-check after the deadline confirms whether receipts arrived.
  6. 6If still missing, an escalation email goes to the manager and a notice posts to the finance MS Teams channel.
